Abstract:Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) promote cancer progression and metastasis in the tumor microenvironment. CAFs are regulated by diverse processes including regulation by microRNAs (miRNAs). To profile miRNAs involved in the regulation of CAF activation, we performed the NanoString nCounter® assay in mouse CAFs and normal lung fibroblasts (LFs). Among the miRNAs differentially expressed between CAFs and LFs, miR-200 family members were significantly downregulated in CAFs. Overexpression of miR-200 in CAFs s… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
