Abstract:The discovery of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) and the development of highly sensitive technologies have made the utility of liquid biopsies in clinical practice more feasible. Potential applications for liquid biopsies include early cancer detection, tumor genotyping in the absence of tissue biopsies, disease monitoring, and identification of drug resistance markers. However, there is a multitude of technical challenges to accurately detect ctDNA with high sensitivity and reproducibility. Various methods have… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
