Abstract:Cyclin dependent kinases (CDK) form a family of 20 different CDKs with an additional 6 CDK-like proteins. Members of this family have been shown to be involved in the regulation of many critical cellular processes, including the regulation of cell cycle progression, gene transcription and neuronal function. Deregulated CDK activity has been observed frequently in human cancer and other diseases. Enzymatic kinase activity of CDKs has been found to depend on the formation of complexes with regulatory proteins of… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
