Abstract: Background and Objective: Patients with ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke require strict BP control to prevent hemorrhagic transformation or hematoma expansion. Acute elevations in BP are often treated with IV labetalol. Dedicated stroke units often have automated bedside monitoring of vital signs.
