Abstract:The NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is widely adopted in clinical practice. Despite being originally designed for research use, the NIHSS is a valued resource for communication and prognostication, and it is useful for the decision-making process regarding reperfusion therapies and prophylaxis.
