“…Among the fourteen naphthoquinones and their analogs tested, juglone and plumbagin possessed the strongest acaricidal activities against P. cuniculi with LC 50 values less than 25 ppm in vitro . These compounds presented better acaricidal activity than most plant-based acaricides 13 , 23 26 . In vivo , juglone and plumbagin at 50 ppm presented similar therapeutic effects when administered to rabbits infested with P. cuniculi .…”

“…Many plants, including Azadirachta indica, Adonis coerulea , Eugenia caryophyllata , and Eupatorium adenophorum , have a high toxicity to P. cuniculi and have shown significant clinical efficacy when used in the clinic to control animal acariasis 19 22 ; the advantages of this approach include high efficiency, lower resistance, and decreased pollution. Furthermore, several active compounds have been isolated, such as eugenol, δ-cadinene, carvacrol, octadecanoic acid-tetrahydrofuran- 3,4-diylester, and 9-oxo-10,11-dehydroageraphorone, among others, which were used as lead compounds to develop potential acaricides 13 , 23 26 . However, the acaricidal activities of naphthoquinones against P. cuniculi have not been reported, and their possible mechanisms of action are currently unknown.…”

“…Among its described utilities are that it is an antidepressive [76], is neuroprotective [77], and can prevent Alzheimerʼs disease [78]. Regarding the Aniba canelilla a (leaf) (01) 1-Nitro-2-phenylethane (88.9 %) (02) β-Caryophyllene Toxic against brine shrimp [14] Aniba rosaeodora b substance δ-cadinene, its reported activities include antitumoral [79], antimicrobial [80], and acaricide [81]. Sesquiterpene δ-cadinene has a cadinan skeleton originating from the cyclization of nerolidine pyrophosphate, which has farnesyl pyrophosphate as a precursor [82], and α-pinene is a bicyclic monoterpene with many documented activities due to its anti-inflammatory [83,84] and antiulcerogenic [85] properties.…”

“…Evidence for lime tolerance can also be found in species that co-occur in similar habitats. An example is R. nivale , a perennial evergreen undershrub with a height of 30–120 cm, distributed in the northeastern and southeastern areas of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, Nepal, India, Bhutan, and Sikkim ( Guo et al, 2017 ). This species co-occurred with R. primuliflorum as the representative alpine species in the snowy mountains in the northwest of Yunnan ( Xu et al, 1996 ), which grows in limestone crevices shared with Paraquilegia anemonoides , another species associated uniquely with limestone.…”
