Abstract:The compartmentalization of chemical reactions within droplets has advantages in low costs, reduced consumption of reagents and increased throughput. Reactions in small droplets have also been shown to greatly accelerate the rate of many chemical reactions. The accelerated growth rate of nanobubbles from nanodroplet reactions is demonstrated in this work. The gaseous products from the reaction at the nanodroplet surface promoted nucleation of hydrogen nanobubbles within multiple organic liquid nanodroplets. Th… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
