Access to Social Protection by Immigrants, Emigrants and Resident Nationals in Morocco

Abstract

The colonial legacy of Morocco has strengthened the ties between the kingdom and France and its geographical location makes it a gateway to Europe. Faced with these increasing movements of populations, the Moroccan social security system is trying to adapt to meet the needs of Moroccan populations living abroad as well as foreign populations residing in Morocco. In this chapter, we propose an assessment of the recent evolutions, trends and directions in access to social protection for individuals in a situation of international mobility.
