Abstract: Background: Local allergic rhinitis (LAR) is the symptom of allergic rhinitis in which nasal allergen-specific immunoglobulin E(IgE) is detected but has no sensitivity to systemic allergens. The gold standard test is the nasal allergen provocation test (NAPT) which requires a complicated procedure. Specific IgE in nasal mucosa test is the less invasive and easier diagnostic alternative for LAR.
