Abstract:In the context of inhomogeneous one-dimensional finite systems, recent numerical advances [Phys. Rev. B 103, 125155 (2021)] allow us to compute the exact coupling-constant dependent exchange-correlation kernel f λ xc (x, x , ω) within linear response time-dependent density functional theory. This permits an improved understanding of ground-state total energies derived from the adiabatic-connection fluctuation-dissipation theorem (ACFDT). We consider both 'one-shot' and 'self-consistent' ACFDT calculations, and… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
