Construction of Smart Transportation City System Based on Digital Twins

“…The State Council has issued the "14th Five Year Plan for Digital Economy Development", proposing "building digital twin cities according to local conditions" and so on [1] . Smart transportation, as a new urban development model, provides new ideas for solving urban transportation problems by utilizing advanced technologies such as information technology, big data, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and digital twins [2] . The most prominent digital twin technology, as an important technological means in the era of the Internet of Things and big data, can turn 3D models into information sources related to urban environment and landscape, achieve virtual mapping and accurate simulation of the real world, become the foundation for managing smart cities [3] , and provide new ideas and methods for solving urban transportation problems.…”
