These orientations regulate the specific behaviours that launch leadership resolve and connect to notions such as the level of clinical expertise and the adopted business orientation -as the challenge for nursing leadership development is not just to achieve job excellence, but to enhance and maintain it (Wiggins & Hyrkäs, 2011).
