“…It is noted that metallic Ag 3d of Ag peaks are centered at 373.9 and 367.9 eV , but the Ag 3d of Ag + ions are centered at 375.8 and 369.6 eV , hence the Ag 3d spectra of Ag–rGO reveals the formation of mixed metallic Ag and Ag + on rGO. The residue functional groups, such as carboxyl group, on rGO and Ag + ions on Ag NPs may provide a monodentate complex , enabling the formation of covalent bonds between the rGO and Ag NPs, which can rationalize the strongly bonded Ag NPs on rGO. Therefore, all the characterizations results indicate that Ag–rGO hybrids, which consist of evenly covered Ag NPs covalently attached on rGO, are successfully synthesized.…”
