Abstract:The acoustic characteristics of the semi-infinite noise barrier were studied using finite element modeling in the COMSOL Multiphysics software package. The features of the finite element partition into the accuracy of the results are estimated. The results of numerical calculations of the acoustic efficiency of a barrier with and without a sound absorbing layer are presented. The influence on the acoustic efficiency of the noise barrier of the length and thickness of the sound absorbing layer is analyzed.
