Abstract:Human metapneumovirus (hMPV) is a virus responsible for acute respiratory infection in humans with clinical and epidemiological relevance in pediatric, immunocompromised, and elderly populations. Little is known about hMPV in vitro replication biological processes and their relationship with cellular structures such as the cytoskeleton. Our goal was to evaluate the viral replication curve in order to study the role of the actin cytoskeleton in hMPV replication at different stages of viral growth. Human metapne… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
