Actinomyces as a Cause of Unexplained Fever Diagnosed by Next-Generation Sequencing: Case Report and Review

Abstract: Background: Actinomycosis is a rare cause of unexplained origin fever (FUO). The NGS, particularly in cases of FUO in conventional microbiology, is a promising and advantageous technology for earlier diagnosis and more success.
