Activation Energy and Second Order Slip in Bioconvection of Oldroyd-B Nanofluid over a Stretching Cylinder: A Proposed Mathematical Model

Abstract: The thermal performances based on the interaction of nanoparticles are the topic of great interest in recent years. In the current continuation, we have utilized the activation energy and thermal radiation consequences in the bioconvection flow of magnetized Oldroyd-B nanoparticles over a stretching cylinder. As a novelty, the second order slip features (Wu’s slip) and convective Nield boundary assumptions are also introduced for the flow situation. The heat performances of nanofluids are captured with an eval… Show more

“…Khan et al 3 used convective Nield boundary conditions to investigate the rheology of couple stress nanofluid with activation energy, porous media, thermal radiation, gyrotactic microorganisms employing Buongiorno nanofluid model, in addition to, second-order velocity slip (Wu's slip). Tlili et al 4 presented a novel study about the flow, heat and mass transfer as well as motile microorganisms of magnetohydrodynamic Oldroyd-B nanofluid past a stretching cylinder. Alwatban et al 5…”

“…Alwatban et al [ 12 ] interpreted the role of Wu’s slip in Eyring Powell nanofluid with additional impact of activation energy. A flow model regarding bioconvection of Oldroyd-B nanoliquid in existence of activation energy generated by stretched cylinder was suggested by Tlili and co-workers [ 13 ]. Waqas et al [ 14 ] reported some biofuels application associated with the flow of nanoparticles in presence of gyrotactic microorganisms.…”

“…Another work based on the bioconvection of nanoparticles featuring activation energy and slip impact in flow of Eyring Powell non-Newtonian fluid has been analyzed by Alwatban et al [20]. Tlili et al [21] proposed a theoretical model for the stretched flow of Oldroyd B nanofluid in presence of gyrotactic microorganism. They also employed second-order slip features, namely Wu's slip, which leads to a truncation of associated boundary layers.…”
