Active cancellation analysis based on the radar detection probability

Abstract: In this paper, a cancelling system for linear and three nonlinear frequency modulated signals is proposed. According to the RCS (Radar Cross Section) characteristic of target, amplitude and phase modulation are made to acquire the signal having the same frequency as the echo pulse but with the opposite phase. This signal cancels the radar echo signal. The basic theory of active cancellation stealth is introduced. Based on two kinds of radar target fluctuation models (Swerling I and Swerling III), the formulas … Show more

“…In the study of optimal jamming for QAM-modulated signals, the coherence characteristics between signals [4] are usually used to construct jamming signals that are identical or similar to the communication signal, and they are considered to have the best jamming effect [5,6], but this theory lacks an accurate theoretical basis for mathematical analysis. For this reason, literature [7,8] studied and established a mathematical analysis model for optimal jamming based on jamming signals constructed with known modulation schemes, such as BPSK, QPSK, and 16QAM.…”

“…Active stealth technology has been paid more and more attention in recent years because of some irreversible defects of traditional passive stealth technology, such as weakening the aerodynamic performance and maneuverability of the aircraft, increasing postmaintenance costs and low efficiency for low-frequency radar. At present, a variety of active cancellation algorithms have been proposed (Khan et al, 2012;Xu and Xu, 2013;Zikidis et al, 2014;Belogubtsev et al, 2011;Osman and Alzebaidi, 2013;Yi et al, 2015), in which spectral spreading-compressing (SSC) algorithm is a new and promising active cancellation algorithm. SSC algorithm is a frequency shift interference method based on SSC according to time delay-Doppler coupling characteristics of linear frequency modulation (LFM) signal.…”
