Active Interference Cancellation for Full-Duplex Multiuser Networks With or Without Existence of Self-Interference

Abstract: It is understood that in a network with an in-band full-duplex (FD) access point (AP) simultaneously serving multiple half-duplex clients, various kinds of interference may severely degrade the network spectral efficiency (SE). In this paper, we first address the problem of canceling the interclient interference (ICI) from multiple uplink clients to multiple downlink clients in such a scenario. The proposed ICI nulling approach, namely, multiuser ICI cancellation (MU-IC2), enables the AP to actively and comple… Show more

“…Structural schematic diagram of the proposed NPLM based CSIC controller with frequency down-conversion section is shown in figure 1. A coupler is used to split and switch the orthogonally polarized input laser signal beam into clockwise (CK) and counter-clockwise (CCK) directions [16]. To empower optical signal processing in W-band, two polarization controlled modulators are reciprocally connected.…”

“…The recent SI suppression advancements have laid the foundation for FD radios' use in a C-D2D communications system. A suitable SIC scheme can suppress the SI up to the noise level [13], [14]; however, the FD radios may not always enhance the performance of a C-D2D communication system since it depends on the amount of RSI at the receiver. Performance analysis of C-D2D communications system with HD relay has been widely studied in the literature [15]- [17].…”

“…Lee et al [65] considered the similar approach described in [61], but the authors have proposed a comparatively lower signal processing complexity at the AP by incorporating a large number of antennas. This solution is acceptable in infrastructure based wireless networks, but it cannot be applied to ad-hoc networks where power constraints are very important issues.…”
