Actividad Prebiótica De Un Hidrolizado Enzimático De Crema De Levadura en Indicadores Productivos De Gallinas Ponedoras Prebiotic Activity of an Enzymatic Yeast Cream Hydrolizate on Egg-Laying Hens Productive Indicators

Abstract: The prebiotic activity of an enzymatic hydrolyzed of alcohol distillery cream (HEL) on productive indicators of egg-laying hens, was evaluated. 300 White Leghorn hens, from 126 to 226 days age, were used in experiment, divided in two groups (with and without HEL). No differences for corporal weight gain between dosis were found, but these differences were observed in total egg production (P < 0.05), egg production in the production peak (P < 0.05), duration (days) of egg production peak (P < 0.01) and uniformi… Show more

“…The solubility and chemical structure of fiber may also influence the appetite regulation, energy intake and body weight (dos Santos et al., ). In this context, prebiotics are undigested fibers that stimulate the growth and metabolic activity of intestinal bacteria, thus improving the development of probiotics (Piad and others ). Inulin is a type of fructan widely used in the food industry, due to its technological characteristic as a body agent and substitute of fat or sugar (Rodríguez‐García, Sahi, & Hernando, ).…”
