Acute allergic rhinitis

Abstract: Allergic rhinitis is a common and troubling condition. Basic management of this condition has been well described. However, acute exacerbations of the chronic condition allergic rhinitis are a seldom discussed or described problem despite the fact that even well-controlled patients frequently have exacerbations. This consideration means that a new approach is necessary to define the management of these patients. There are three important events that illustrate the need for a new therapeutic approach:A person w… Show more

“… 22 Green et al reported that people who had been diagnosed with allergic rhinitis were exposed to a deteriorating environment for a long time, and the symptoms became worse. 23 According to the influence of the above factors on the susceptibility to AR, we also divided the research objects according to BMI and regional environmental conditions, and conducted stratified analysis. The association results were similar in the subgroups with BMI ≤24 kg/m 2 or participants from Blown-Sand region as in the subgroup older than 43 years.…”

“…Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a chronic inflammatory disease with a high incidence and is characterized by abnormal body reactions in the nose due to increased sensitivity to allergens. [1][2][3] The main symptoms of AR in patients are nasal hypersecretion, nasal itching, sneezing, and swelling of the nasal mucosa. [4][5][6] At present, the recognized pathogenesis of AR is that the allergen-induced immunoglobulin (Ig) E antibody binds to the high-affinity IgE receptor (FcεRI) on the surface of mast cells to activate these cells, inducing intracellular signal cascades, such as the activation of PLCγ1 and PKC, and elevating the expression level of Ca 2+ , which further causes mast cells to degranulate.…”
