“…Only a small group of tumors of this type have been reported, apparently rising from adrenal tissue rests in ovaries. 11 Mention has already been made of the intimate embryologie relation between the anlagen of the adrenal cortex and the ovarian medulla, so that it is not surprising that certain adrenal tumors produce sex effects exactly similar to those of arrhenoblastoma. As already mentioned, it seems probable that most of the tumors reported as luteoma producing masculinization phenomena have probably been of adrenal origin.…”
