Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: An Advanced Practice Role for RN First Assistants

Abstract: Acute care nurse practitioners (ACNPs) are advanced practice RNs who are educationally prepared to provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic illness.
