Acute enzymatic glycocalyx degradation results in reduced insulin sensitivity but normal glucose tolerance in conscious rats

Abstract: Perturbation of the endothelial glycocalyx has been suggested to be an early event in the development of endothelial dysfunction during increased cardiovascular risk exposure.
