Acute lichenoid and varioliform pityriasis in a pediatric patient

Abstract: Background: Pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta (PLEVA) is a rare dermatosis recognized as a benign condition of unknown etiopathogenesis. It is more common in pediatric patients and young adults and is characterized by multiple small or large erythematous plaques spread over the trunk and extremities.
