Acute Pulmonary Embolism: Patient Characteristic and Management Strategy in an Egyptian Cohort of Patients

Abstract: Background: Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a relatively common cardiovascular emergency. Acute PE is the most serious clinical presentation of venous thromboembolism. PE is the consequence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
