Abstract:Background: Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a life-threatening condition characterized by poor oxygenation and non-compliant or "stiff" lungs. The disorder is related with capillary endothelial harm and diffuse alveolar harm. Once ARDS develops, patients ordinarily have changing degrees of aspiratory artery vasoconstriction and may along these lines create pulmonary hypertension.
