Abstract:Introduction: Achalasia is one of the most common causes of dysphagia. Typical symptoms include difficulty in swallowing, regurgitation, weight loss, and chest pain. Megaesophagus is a complication of advanced achalasia. This condition rarely causes tracheal compression with acute dyspnea.
