Abstract:El síndrome retroviral agudo (SRA) es uno de los escenarios clínicos posibles en los estadios tempranos de la infección por HIV, tiene presentaciones variables, pero se caracteriza por alta carga viral y clínica inespecífica. Describimos el caso de un paciente varón de 21 años que cursó con encefalopatía aguda y ataxia cerebelosa, en cuyo estudio se diagnosticó infección por VIH y se identificó el cuadro de SRA.
