Abstract:SYNOPSIS Infection is well recognized as a complication of intrauterine transfusion. The majority of cases are fortunately mild and consist merely of chorio-amnionitis. The present case, of severe type, resulted from contamination of the donor blood with Acinetobacter calcoaceticus.
