Adaptação transcultural do questionário "BHT evidence in practice: A1 online survey as used for buckinghamshire hospitals NHS trust" para o Brasil.

Abstract

The clinical decision-making process is increasingly supported by evidence based medicine. Information Science contributes to the evidence obtained for research findings to be turned into knowledge, which can benefit patients and the medical field as a whole. Objective: To describe the procedures for translation of the questionnaire "BHT Evidence in practice: A1 Online survey as used for Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust" to the Portuguese language and adaptation to the Brazilian culture. Method: Methodological study with translation and validation of instrument. Results: After Content Validity Index (CVI) analysis of the questionnaire, five sentences were rewritten by the suggestion of an Experts Committee. Thirty medical residents at a large, urban public university hospital in the São Paulo State, southeastern region in Brazil utilized the translated questionnaire. Conclusion: The objective of translating the questionnaire to Portuguese, adapted to Brazilian culture, was achieved, and it can be utilized at other Brazilian institutions.
