Adaptive nonlinear probabilistic filter for Positron Emission Tomography

Abstract: Radiologists face difficulties when reading and interpreting Positron Emission Tomography (PET) images because of the high noise level in the raw-projection data (i.e. the sinogram). The later may lead to erroneous diagnoses.
