“…A growth ring has been designed, built, and calibrated for a 0.5-inchdiameter Capsule Driver Core (CDC) [ 3 ] fuel rod which will be placed in the flux trap located in the center of the CDC core. The ring will measure the fuel rod deformation caused by pressure stress, thermal stress, and thermal expansion during a reactor transient.…”
