Additional Lewis acid sites of protonated fibrous silica@BEA zeolite (HSi@BEA) improving the generation of protonic acid sites in the isomerization of C6 alkane and cycloalkanes

“…Indeed, although there are several reports published on platinum‐promoted zeolite material for alkane isomerization, the modified fibrous silica zeolite is still dispensable in this type of reaction. Previously, it was reported that the isomerization of C 6 alkane over HSi@BEA as catalyst was successfully conducted by the generation of protonic acid sites that originated from molecular hydrogen and from C 6 alkanes and cycloalkanes .
