Abstract:Dermatitis herpetiformis is part of a spectrum of disorders triggered by gluten intake. For its correct diagnosis, it is essential to take into account the clinical and serological presentation, as well as the findings of perilesional skin biopsy with direct immunofluorescence. Most patients have no gastrointestinal symptoms, and enteropathy would be milder than in celiac disease cases.
