Abstract:The selection of the installed capacity of a hydroelectric plant is usually made on the basis of the design lowwater year, which is determined from the design frequency. The assumption, in the project, of an excessively high value of the design frequency results in a reduction of the installed capacity of the plant and a decrease of its economic indices. For the technical-economic justification of the design frequency, a very important quantity is the initial frequency Pi of the guaranteed capacity of the plant… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
