ConCluSionS: Treatment adherence/persistence among patients with T2DM initiating basal insulin are influenced by numerous factors. Greater insulin adherence/persistence is linked to improved clinical outcomes and reduced healthcare utilization. Such methodologies may be suitable for an insulin quality performance measure.
