Adiponectin, blood pressure and hypertension - a narrative review

Abstract: Adipokines, cytokines derived from adipose tissue, not only herald and confirm fat tissue as the largest endocrine organ but are also associated with a number of pathological states including obesity, insulin resistance and diabetes.
