Adrenal function evaluation in critically ill dogs with low doses of synthetic ACTH

Abstract: The hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis function may be impaired in patients with critical illnesses, especially cases of sepsis, named critical illness-related corticosteroid insufficiency (CIRCI).
