In this paper, the adsorption kinetic behaviors of g-CO2 and SC-CO2 on the WF shale in the pressure (5.5
MPa to
8 MPa) and temperature (32 to 45 °C) ranges were obtained in
order to investigate CO2 adsorption kinetic behavior in
the near-critical region. It is observed that the adsorption kinetic
curves are quite different in different pressure and temperature ranges,
which can be classified into “normal”, “normal-fluctuation”,
and “abnormal-fluctuation” curves. These adsorption
kinetic behaviors of CO2 are determined by the change rate
of CO2 physical parameters, corresponding to three obvious
regions on the change rate curve of CO2 physical parameters.
The adsorption kinetic behavior of CO2 exhibits fluctuation
in the near-critical region. Under the conditions very close to the
critical pressure and temperature of CO2, the excess adsorption
capacity (Γad) of SC-CO2 fluctuates from
maximum to negative.
