Abstract:Yttria‐stabilized zirconia (YSZ), although well known for a lot of excellent engineering applications, has limited footprints in the field of adsorption/dye removal. Through this work, we demonstrate the remarkable efficacy (adsorption capacity ∼ 550 mg/g) of 8 mol.% YSZ nano‐adsorbents for toxic azo‐dye (e.g., Congo red) removal. The consistency of our adsorption experiments was validated with the help of a series of tests such as; regeneration (via thermal and chemical routes), in real‐life river water, with… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
