Adultery in the Novels Lady Chatterley’s Lover and A Room with a View

Abstract: A quest for an appropriate, passionate partner is the urge for love or just a caprice. It generates either a plot or a character. The present paper pursues two main goals. First, it shows that in both novels: Lady Chatterley's Lover and A Room with a View, main characters Connie, later Lady Chatterley and Lucy Honeychurch, respectively, are all but immoral women who lack a real, passionate touch − and this is the way they are mastering the plot throughout.
