Advanced simulation model for loss analysis of converters in electric vehicles

Abstract

In this paper, the loss analysis simulation platform includin g power semiconductor devices and ma g netic elements is proposed. Concept of the platform is described and thermal module used to calculate the loss of power semiconductor devices in PSIM is explained. Using the design data of inductors and transformers, loss of inductors and transformers is calculated and loss calculatin g al g orithm of ma g netics is composed in the PSIM. Power loss data is generated and analysis is performed to verify the validity of the proposed simulation platform.I.
