Advanced Stretchable Photodetectors: Strategies, Materials and Devices

Abstract: Past decades have witnessed the generation of new stretchable photodetectors in electronic eyes, health sensing, wearable devices, intelligent monitoring and other fields. Stretchable devices require not only outstanding performance but also excellent flexibility, adaptability and stability. Innovative strategies have been proposed to realize the stretchability of devices. In addition, novel functional materials including zero‐dimensional nanomaterials, one‐dimensional inorganic nanomaterials, two‐dimensional … Show more

“…The enhanced values of the dielectric and magnetic losses of the GF15-TPU nanocomposite further enhanced the shielding due to absorption in this nanocomposite. 78,79 The synergistic effect of dielectric loss and magnetic loss ensures that the GF15-TPU nanocomposite exhibits high EM wave shielding performance. 80,81 The magnetic loss of the EM wave absorbing material is attributed to hysteresis losses, eddy current loss, natural resonance, and domain-wall resonance.…”

“…[ 107 ] Functional nanomaterials such as 2D perovskite, graphene, TMDCs, and their vdWs heterostructures are excellent choice to develop the stretchable photodetectors owing to marvelous properties such as outstanding transparency, large optical absorption, tunable bandgap, and excellent flexibility and stretchability. [ 108 ] A group of researchers presented the stretchable photodetector based on the graphene combined Au nano particles as shown in Figure 8g. that exhibits excellent R and stretchability.…”

“…Photodetectors (PDs) have drawn significant interest from the research community due to their wide range of use in optical DOI: 10.1002/aelm.202300226 communication, automotive, biological research, X-ray detection, image sensing, and flame detection. [1][2][3][4] Conventional PDs are based on inorganic semiconductors such as silicon, germanium, and indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs), which require high temperatures and expensive manufacturing processes. [5][6][7][8][9] Nowadays, the optical, electrical, and transport properties of the metal halide perovskites (MHPs) are a matter of intense research due to their versatile applications with the easy of fabrication process.…”
