Abstract:Homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) technology is a novel approach in internal combustion engines that combines the efficiency of gasoline engines with the spontaneous ignition characteristics of diesel engines. HCCI engines offer cleaner emissions, reduced noise, and wider fuel adaptability, overcoming many drawbacks of traditional engines.
