Abstract:Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a common and fatal disease, characterized by lung inflammation, edema, poor oxygenation, and the need for mechanical ventilation, or even extracorporeal membrane oxygenation if the patient is unresponsive to routine treatment.
