Advances in Enantioselective C–H Activation/Mizoroki-Heck Reaction and Suzuki Reaction

Abstract: Abstract:Traditional cross-coupling reactions, like Mizoroki-Heck Reaction and Suzuki Reaction, have revolutionized organic chemistry and are widely applied in modern organic synthesis. With the rapid development of C-H activation and asymmetric catalysis in recent years, enantioselective C-H activation/cross-coupling reactions have drawn much attention from researchers. This review summarizes recent advances in enantioselective C-H activation/Mizoroki-Heck Reaction and Suzuki Reaction, with emphasis on the st… Show more

“…34,35 The key feature of metal-catalysts is the crucial role of the metal ions which promote the catalytic conversions of the coordinated substrates. The chiral complexes based on transitional and noble metals are widely applied in asymmetric hydrogenation (Rh, Ir, Ru complexes), 10,[36][37][38] in enantioselective C-H activation (Pd, Ir, Rh, Ni, Co complexes) [39][40][41] and cross-coupling reactions (Pd, Cu and Ni complexes), 42,43 in the field of organic synthesis for the rapid construction of complex molecular architectures and for the total synthesis of natural products under mild conditions (Cu, Au, Pd and Pt complexes). [44][45][46][47][48] Another important class of chiral metal catalysts is represented by classical Lewis acids that activate organic molecules via strong coordination binding with acidic metal centres.…”

“…On the other hand, the functionalization of C(sp 3 )−H bonds is still underdeveloped. Since this research area is a topic of current interest, numerous research groups have focused on the directed functionalization of C(sp 2 )−H as well as C(sp 3 )−H bonds . The major progress made and the clearer understanding of the mechanistic aspects of C−H activation have also been reviewed .…”
