Advances in the Molecular Morphology of Hematopathology

Abstract: Immunohistochemistry permits assessment of the expression of molecules and to exactly define their location in cell compartments, thus combining molecular and morphological evaluation ("molecular morphology"). Hematopathology has pioneered the use of molecular morphology in pathology and there is a continuing refinement of the employment of existing markers, as well as of the identification of new markers to support and better define diagnosis and prognosis.
