Abstract:Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a high efficient multi-carrier modulation technique for broadband communication applications with high peak to average power ratio (PAPR). In order to reduce the adverse effects of high PAPR on communication, a novel time shifted non-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (TS-NFDM) technology is created by introducing the time-shift factor into multi-carrier modulation in this paper, which brings distinct advantages on bandwidth efficiency and PAPR. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
