Adverse transfusion reactions in patients with aplastic anaemia or myelodysplastic syndromes

Abstract: Background and Objectives Patients with aplastic anaemia or myelodysplastic syndromes frequently receive transfusions in an attempt to correct anaemia and/ or thrombocytopenia, putting them at risk of adverse transfusion reactions.
